Overview
The ALPA Pilot Peer Support (PPS) Program is a confidential resource created to support pilots through life’s challenges both personal and professional. When a pilot calls the PPS hotline, they are connected with a trained peer from Breeze who understands the unique stressors of our profession.
Our role isn’t to solve the problem such as restore medical certification or employment; instead, we serve as a compassionate, non-judgmental sounding board. Whether the concern involves family struggles, medical loss, disciplinary action, or just feeling overwhelmed, we’re here to listen and help our fellow pilots navigate the next steps by pointing them toward the right resources.
At the heart of PPS is a simple but powerful message: you are not alone. In aviation, we’re taught to compartmentalize and leave things behind in the employee parking lot. The reality is some things follow us into the flight deck. Pilots tend to view the world in black and white, but the challenges we face often exist in shades of grey. The PPS team exists to help pilots find clarity in those grey areas by listening, connecting, and supporting.
